Valdes, M’brough, £4.5
The Spanish goalkeeper is finally coming into his own, and seems to be in the form that made him an integral part of a legendary Barcelona team. Last week he was MOTM against Arsenal, picking up a clean sheet and 3 bonus points, and his team welcome Bournemouth this weekend in what will surely be a tight affair.

Honourable mentions:Heurelho Gomez £4.9

Alonso, Chelsea, £5.9
Antonio Conte’s 3-5-2 system is beginning to pay dividends after a difficult adjustment phase. Alonso registered an assist last weekend, and is playing high up the field almost as a winger making him a very attractive defender despite his high price.

Honourable mention: Charlie Daniels £5.0

Allen, Stoke, £5.1
Despite not scoring last week, the Welsh Wizard has been in tremendous form, and Stoke play Swansea at home this week. As a budget midfielder he seems to have overtaken Etienne Capoue as the best value for money.

Honourable mentions: Alexis Sanchez £11.3

Austin, S’ton, £6.5
Despite seeing limited playing time, Austin has proven his worth and been rewarded with regular starts for Southampton. His goalscoring form has been terrific, especially for his relatively low price tag, and he has a habit of putting in MOTM performances, the only downside being his team play in-form Chelsea this week.

Honourable mentions: Christian Benteke £7.5
