Fantasy Football Tips – Gameweek 13

After a difficult week for fantasy football players last week, Dave, Kieran and Conor are back with some tips to get you big points this gameweek.

Fraser Forster, Southampton GK – £ 5.0 m

After a disappointing display in the Europa League away to Sparta Prague, Southampton will look to bounce back again this week. Southampton have been good defensively this season with Forster keeping four clean sheets in the league this season (Level with De Gea and Cech. Second to Courtois who has seven). Also with a good run of fixtures coming up Forster should be a great source of points.

Honourable mention: Jordan Pickford, Sunderland GK – £ 4.1 m

Daryl Janmaat, Watford DEF – £ 4.8 m

Newcastle fans won’t have fond memories of Janmaat but, he seems to be a different player at Vicarage Road. Dave pointed out in episode 9 of the Pupcast that, the 3-5-2 formation that Watford play has helped Janmaat as his defensive weakness are less exposed. With Stoke, West Brom and Everton coming up in there next three games expect assists and clean sheets from the dutch man

Honourable mention: Van Dijk, Southampton DEF – £ 5.5 m

Matt Philips, West Brom MID – £5.1 m

Matt Philips might not be the biggest name in the league but 27 points in his last two games is a great return for a player only valued at £5.1 m. West Brom rely on Philips, Rondon and McClean a lot in terms of goals so don’t be surprised if Philips is on the score sheet again.

Honourable mention: Gylfi Sigurdsson MID – £ 7.1 m

Diego Costa, Chelsea ST – £ 10.6 m

Costa is expensive but he does guarantee goals. He has scored an impressive ten goals this season making him the leagues top goal scorer. Costa validates his high price tag by scoring in nine of his twelve games so far this season. This consistency makes him a must have. Chelsea have a difficult game this weekend to Spurs but, Chelsea are the leagues in form team and there is no better man for the big occasion then Diego Costa.

Honourable Mention:  Victor Anichebe – £4.6 m

Bargain Buy: Ben Gibson, Middlesbrough – £ 4.7 m

Middlesbrough have impressed everyone this season through the good work ethic and defensive prowess. Gibson is the highest scoring Middlesbrough  defender so far this season with 44 points. Also Middlesbrough have a good run of fixtures so expect plenty more points .
